Planning to pick up the last Maine NEHH straggler I left behind on my last Maine hike tomorrow (Monday). Does anyone have any idea what trail conditions to expect. I'll bring shoes to the trailhead but don't think I'll need them. Hope to get by with micro-spikes unless someone knows elsewise.
Thanks - I wont be able to read any replies until tonight - wife is dragging me out to the nutcracker in exchange for hiking points :)
 
Pure speculation is hard crust with ice. I cant envision needing snowshoes from the RT 26 side. I prefer the approach from the Andover side but on my last visit, the old Frye Brook Trail was no longer being maintained
