Forecast for Sunday August 16th looked great. Decided to explore the Lincoln Slide.
Went up OBP to enjoy the great views from Lafayette and then Lincoln. Then dropped
off the ridge onto the slide. Went down the north fork of the slide, then
cut over to one of the center slides. Went to the top of the center slide and sat
for a while and did absolutely nothing. Then went down the center slide to the choke
where all the slides converge. That's as far down as I wanted to go today. Climbed
back up the north fork and regained the ridge. Then back to Lafayette and down OBP.

Always love walking above the clouds

Fantastic! Gorgeous photos! I love Lincoln Slide. It's sandy like the beach and a great landmark when popping up above treeline :)

Ambitious itinerary for sure. Great photos including the shots of Owls Head where I was on the next day 8/17. Here's the Lincoln slide as seen from the Owls Head slide.Owls Head 026.jpg
