    Wild, the movie

Since we covered Walk in the Woods, perhaps some will care to comment on Wild as well. I saw it on HBO and thought it was pretty good but then I like Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern so its an easy call. As far as the hiking part goes, its certainly not romanticized. When she first struggles to lift her huge pack (nicknamed "The Monster") I was thinking, "That's why I'm just a day hiker!" I'm no pack horse. Travel light, hot shower, cold beer, soft mattress at the end of the day. "And when the morning light comes streaming in, I'll get up and do it again. Amen" JB

Actually, we did a thread on Wild when it came out - http://www.vftt.org/forums/showthrea...st-Trail-movie

I'll close this one, feel free to revive that one with your impressions.
