Location
New Hampshire... Time to go Whackin'
1) Does anyone know if this trail has been broke out yet? (since 3/12)

2) Can anyone tell me where it starts?

3) Anyone have any other helpful info concerning this trail?

I was planning on bagging Hale and Zealand tomorrow (3/19) by making a loop out of the North Twin Trail -> Hale FWT -> Lend-a-hand -> Twinway -> Little River bushwhack -> back to the North Twin Trail. The Hale FWT is the only part I'm not familiar with.

Wanna come along? :D

I would be surprised if the abandoned but still viable Firewarden's Trail is broken out...
And that being said, it might be difficult to find its beginning next to the Little River....
Heading south on the N. Twin trail, don't cross the Little River at the first crossing...continue straight on the east bank for, I don't remember, a hundred yards or more? Anyway, there's an obscure steep uphill climb and if you're at the right place, the trail may become obvious up the hill a ways...
The old path ascends moderately, curving up to the northern end of the Hale ridge, then heading south, making a final pitch southeast to the peak.
