I think this is Hell Brook, the first crossing on the Long Trail north of Smuggler's Notch, last June. Frenchman's was much worse that day, but my pictures are blurry. The whole trail was under water from Whiteface on down.

Ayup. Green's Cliff it is.

My friend & I traversed Greens Cliff from the Sawyer Run Trail to the Sawyer Pond Trail, bushwhacked from the East end of Sawyer Pond up to the Owls Cliff-Tremont saddle & the Brunel Trail, summited Tremont just as the last rays of light disappeared, took the Brunel Trail & spur to Owls Cliff, summited Owls Cliff, took the Brunel Trail to FR 35, & followed FR 35 back to a car that we had dropped at Bear Notch Road. We had hoped to also summit Bartlett Haystack & Bear Mountain, but those had to wait for another day.

TPBM is a view you woke up to backcountry camping.

OK, I wasn't excatly hiking, but we raced (galloped) to the top of the snowmobile trail and came to Mirkwood. I love this trail. P1010434.jpg

The photo below mine was taken on the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway.
