Having spent lttle time in the ADKs, I need a some info.
We are climbing the North face of the Gothics next week and just wnted to confirm:
1) the approach - from the garden trailhead on the johns brook trail, to Ore bed trail, and the climb will be up on my left (not to be mistaken for Armstrong). Is this the best way?
2) are there lean-tos for use around the JBL lodge area?
3) decent - looking for best options here. Hang a right once on top and go back down the Ore bed trail?
4) skiis or snowshoes are required to be on the trails?
