Water crossing was just a trickle today. Phoenicia-East Branch trail is muddy (and buggy) in some spots but the Curtis-Ormsbee and Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide trails were completely dry.

Curtis-Ormsbee trail pleasantly alternates steeps around large ledges and wide flats in sweet woods. Many wildflowers. Saw just two people while heading up the loop. Once we met up with Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide trail we met many who had taken W-C-S the whole way (the shorter route). On our way down we met a lot of backpackers looking for camping spots.
