I read elsewhere that the new Abol trail is now open. It apparently was on the BSP Facebook page.

The Dudley Trail apparently has the same issue that the Abol Trail did, with rock slides leaving many huge rocks precariously balanced all over the trail. When I was there a few weeks ago the ranger said they hadn't even had a meeting yet to discuss how it would get fixed and/or relocated so I suspect it will be closed for quite some time.
