    Vermonter dies on CO 14er

Potentially of interest; man from Vermont was reported missing on Mt. Harvard and his body was recovered just below the summit. Denver Post

Wednesday was a transition day for weather, with the first snow for many places above 12,500'. No idea if this could have played a role or not, but Harvard is not a particularly tough 14er as they go, just quite long.

Condolences to the family, that's really tough.

Geez, the hiker is from my town here in Vermont! So sad.

I attempted Mt. Sneffels near Ouray on Wednesday and there was about 5 inches of snow and it was completely socked in near the summit. Interesting conditions for the middle of summer. RIP.
