11/12 - Southern Ridge of Bondcliff

A few weeks back, I spent some time climbing through the forest on the southern ridge of Bondcliff. The trip was fun, lots of open woods and a few thick spots. I'd like to explore the area again!

    Great report as usual.

The FS box is interesting. At one point there was a forest service fire tool cache out in the woods where the old Bondcliff trail turned off the Wilderness Trail. I am curious if this box was used similarly?

You certainly come across some odd things bushwhacking. Kids party balloons being number one. I recall coming across some pretty ugly FS plywood enclosures and black plastic sheeting in main feeder brook to Cone Pond. I think it was remains of watershed study or something. It appears this was encountered on way to small peak?

Thanks for sharing your adventures! Next time you're in neighborhood try visiting 2339 bump.

    I said "are you sure?"
    It reply "I'm positive."
