Yellowstone has its first female chief ranger

That fact that Yellowstone is a 147 years old is pretty darn cool!

The fact it now has its first female chief ranger is also (finally) pretty darn cool.

These Rangers do a great job with enforcement. Just got back from Yellowstone,Glacier,Theodore Roosevelt,Tetons,Badlands again for the 6th time. They should run our large cities like they do the parks we'd be much better shape. Ha. No wonder I like to go there instead of San Francisco, Chicago etc. I feel safe at those parks.

It was fascinating reading about her career. First, it's extremely hard just to get a fullltime position in the first place, but once one does, those folks often move around a lot as they work their way up the ladder.
