10/26/2019 Random Group of Hikers, party of 8. We hiked the slides route in the traditional direction (N-S). Slides were a bit wet and slippery with rain the preceding evening, but there was no active runoff on the slides and nearly no snow or ice--just the faintest of sugar dustings on the fir in the upper elevations. We had sun in the morning and clouds in the afternoon. Water crossings were all easy using stepping stones. Trails were in good shape, just a few easy walk-around/stepover blowdowns. All that could have changed overnight, of course (it is precipitating up there as I write of this on 10/27). Paul-William.
