I started getting my girlfriend into hiking. Trying to ease her into some trails and thought of Bromley. I'm aware the ski mountain is closed and not making snow due to the "virus." The AT to summit is about as easy as it gets and has a view. Anyone know the trail conditions? Really only concerned about snow/ice.

It's not really a great idea to be traveling to hike right now. Perhaps introduce her to something closer to home?

On a clear day, you can see Bromley from the webcam on the summit of Stratton. You might be able to see it once the clouds clear. The AT/LT follows the upper part of a ski trail near the summit of Bromley, so it will be a while for that snow to melt. And then you should also wait for the muddy trail to dry: https://thetrek.co/inside-dirt-vermonts-mud-season/.

Vermont health officials say that with the Wednesday's death toll up to eight and with 123 positive cases, now is the ideal time to issue the so-called "Stay Home, Stay Safe" order. Vt. Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine says to halt the exponential growth of the virus seen in other states like New York, everybody must be "all-in" to discourage spreading the virus.

Travel, especially from NY, isn't advised.
