From the Cohos Trail Association. Their shelters are still closed, but they're saying one can set up a tent adjacent to them.

At this time we still have not received word from state officials regarding opening Cohos Trail shelters. So assume the shelters are closed until such time as we post here and on our website that they are open. The White Mountain National Forest, the Randolph Mountain Club, and the Dartmouth Outing Club have opened some shelters, but we can't move unless we get the green light from the state.

If you are thru-hiking or spending a number of days section hiking, please bring a tent with you and please camp in designated areas only, including close by the shelters. Stealth camping on private land puts the Cohos Trail itself in jeopardy of being closed. No one wants that to happen, of course. So please, in this era of Covid-19, be a good citizen, be responsible, and have a great hike regardless of the unusual circumstances.

From a Cohos Trail FB group:

Lake Francis Campground and the Dry River Campground are now both open and operating at 50%. Unknown Pond Tentsite is open (although listed as closed on the website, which a ranger said was out of date). "She went on to say that USFS policy regarding shelters is that those that have caretakers will remain closed so as not to expose those workers to the virus, while shelters without caretakers will be open."

Or closed but we are not watching, wink, wink, (No one is cleaning them or vouching for them)
