    I'm trying to be nicer during this pandemic, because its tough on everyone. So, I'm glad they are ok.

    It may be worse this year as people who are not inclined to hike, have been going outside. Some because their gyms have been closed and some because being outside was considered safer than being inside.

    The trailhead steward program has also been suspended, losing that last opportunity for a little education. Not claiming it would have affected this case, but statistically it seems to have had an impact over the past couple of years.
