Definitely not a record snow season but the snow is starting to pile up in Gorham. All the little clipper systems are adding up to the point where snowshoes should factor in on hikes north of the notches. The snow last weekend had some density to it which put in a base and add in about 6 to 8 inches of powder in the last few days from small clipper systems and its posthole season for those who decide to bareboot. No doubt folks driving up from south of the notches will not believe it.

Was just commenting to my son yesterday the same as we were taking some sled runs in our front yard down to the mailbox. He was upset just over a week ago that the snow was for poor sledding. We hike on our trails most every day and it was interesting over the past week+ to watch the treadway's go from patchy/bare, to wet snow sticking to boots leaving holes, to enough to snowshoe a track and fill the holes, to bareboot and regret ruining the track when considering skiing, to "oh-heck" that's not a problem as it's all filled-in again with some nice silky snow.
