I was going to ask about the folk's experience with PU middsoles in the long term. But, last minute research showed me this:

Anyone had a pair of boots rebuilt from the midsole out?
I took a pair of Vasque Sundownwes in for resoling at United Shoe repair in Concord, Nh and while i was there the cobbler had to send myself and two others away because the midsoles were rotten. Not worth even trying to resole he said.
If Lowa rebuilds both the mid and out sole i am probably going to drop for these https://www.lowaboots.com/mens/mountaineering/alpine-expert-gtx-lime-black
I find EVA middsole ddon't last and block rubber middsoles suck the heat right out of my feet. And i am not prone to cold feet.
