I had heard it was in the south shore of Mass a few years back. There is supposedly a hard and fast low temp that kills them so they are at this time limited to ocean influenced coastal areas. I saw a few infestations while hiking down south. The landowners do not mess around when they see an infestation, they cut a 100 foot circle of trees around the infested one.
