nice link thanks....I don't get it with all the angst over the question??

Well... at some point its like beating a dead horse dead... The information is out there if people take the time to look. IMHO, I feel that if people TRULY NEED to know the status of a road, they will search a bit harder rather than adding to the pile of repetitive in nature posts!

No harm to you cp2000, I understand your a newer member but... sometimes things get old fast... LIKE THE COG THREAD DID!

After investigation of the threads... much like this one... they ALL have the same answers laid within. This Link: http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/white/roads_status.html

As Susan Powder once said.. STOP THE MADNESS! Perhaps a new link on the sites hompage or a nice thumb at the top of the Q&A thread directing people to this very link?

Hi SJ,
I understand where you're coming from but maybe a different approach would have been a better solution.
Something like...
"Welcome aboard CP2000 and I'm glad to help you out as are all the VFTT members. Above the threads is a blue line with UserCP, FAQ etc. Click on the Search drop down and type in a subject to see if there has been a previous thread posted with the information you need. If that doesn't work start a new thread as I'm sure others are asking the question but afraid to post"

and you never know, he may be looking for the link to buy the 48 documentary...... ;)

guys - is this really that big of a deal?? - the guy is just looking for info - some of you wasted more time complaining than answering the question - not all of us are on this board every hour and can spend time searching thru old posts - cut the guy some slack.

Agreed. If there were awards for meaningless, non-contributing posting, the initiator of this thread would not even be in the running.

some people need to calm down, or take a break from the pc..
I agree what is the problem . I would rather some one ask about a road or trail than some of the mudslinging in another thread. Yep Pun Intened again
Antia Did you hike with a gruop of pople to place like Crage Camp a lot in the late 80s ? I remember a Anita form Canada hiking with them . I was the Guy with lots of Nikon Equipment . lastI saw of them was at the Paerch and I had a few Addresses I stayed in touch with a few of my Quebec " realtives " being French Candain in descent myself .

It gets old? Stop the madness?

I wish I had a dime for every time Dave M here & over on outdoors.org has answered a Moosilauke or Presidential trip, I'd have a 4,000 foote peak of dimes or a vacation home in NH. :D That's not my smile, that is the smile Dave always has when he answers ANOTHER presi-traverse question....

sherpa john is guilty of one thing, being young. hopefully with age comes wisdom and an understanding towards other people, no offense sj.
P.S> is Jefferson notch road open?
