I'm looking to ascend Santanoni via the Ermine Brook Slide. Has anyone tried this ascent lately? I'm wondering what the conditions are like lately. I have heard that there is pretty severe cripplebrush at the top of the slide, but there is a faint herd path that runs for about 0.5 miles along the ridge line towards Santanoni summit. Has anyone found this path lately and what are the slide conditions like?
