I've been getting my BC Ski gear ready for this, my first, ski season. I am getting ready to put the Tenney Toe Plates which were recomended on and have a question...

The plates come with 4 screws, 2 outside 2 inside. However Scarpa has put a steel re-enforcing plate moulded inside the toe about 1/8" below the sole. The placement of the plate will only allow me to put the 2 outside screws into the plate. I'm thinking i should just go ahead and install and epoxy them with the 2 screws. Any comments from the "most knowledge" sources here:).

Thanks in advance
Ken

I punch a small pilot hole with the aid of an electric drill. It the reinforcement plate is metal, it sure is soft enough to drill through. I've done this with 4 or 5 boots so far. Be sure to put a tape stopper on the drill bit to help prevent you from drilling all the way through the sole.

My page is outdated but you may get more off it.
