With the big dump, is there anyone who has current information on Sewards?

Did the town plow a big pile in front of the iron bridge, keeping cars from the last 3 miles into the summer trailhead?
What shape is the 3 miles of road from the bridge to the summer trailhead? Driveable, downed trees?
Trail conditions from the summer lot to Ward Brook?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
PB

i was in last friday and we were able to drive the entire distance to the summer trailhead. it seems that the eastern high peaks is where the snow dumped. when they got 2' plus the sewards only received 4-8" on the lower trails and up to a foot up on seymour...

when we went in on friday the trail was tuff only because of the snow on the ground and the running water ALSO the bent beeches... saturday was a great day as the views were perfect and the trail was hardly difficult.. the steep parts had given us only the slightest problem because of sliding on the fresh snow and running water...

sunday the snow on the lower trails had all but melted completely, i would guess that the snow is all gone by now even on the upper reaches of the moutains in the western high peaks... you should have no problems hiking the range this weekend, well other then the wet trails. be ready for that!!!

happy hiking
