There are three springs at Avery Col, and all had water in them on Saturday evening. The two lower springs, closest to the camp, were pretty low indeed. The one along the AT up toward Avery Peak was in better shape. See my trip report: https://davidkotz.org/2017/09/25/bigelow-range/

Just wondering whether anyone has recent info about water supply at Avery col, between Bigelow and Avery peaks. I've heard there is a limited water source at the tentsite and a spring part-way up to Avery. Are these flush with water, or dry now with the recent dry weather?

I'm considering hiking the Bigelow range this weekend, likely via the loop suggested here: http://4000footers.com/bigelowavery.shtml I may do it as a dayhike, or more likely, camp at one of the three spots along the loop. Anything I should be aware of, in terms of trailhead access, trail...
