    I've been working on the NH48 since 1985 (11 to go) and something I call Not The Grid - at least one 4K NH peak in every month. I just have December left for that one. Next year!

    wind gauge altimeter thermostat

    I've got a WeatherFlow weather station at home, and bought one of their handheld wind/temp/pressure meters for the trail. It talks to my phone via Bluetooth. Like DayTrip, it's just a novelty item for me.

    A10s buzzing the notches

    I spotted them Tuesday from 93 on my way home from Waumbek. Years ago I encountered A10s on a hike in the Whites. Where they were practicing low level flying, I didn't hear them until they popped up over the ridge. Kinda startling, but I thought it was cool.
