  • Jay what have you been doing with your bad self?? I have not been out since Giant..hope too soon, tied up with work and kids...
well at $50 per mile i would hope that you at least guide me to the actual summits of those ADK's!
    :)
    yikes.
ill pass on that and take me chances and go solo or stick to the whites :)
Jay! First of all, thanks for breaking in Couchie, I am very much obliged! Second, CONGRATULATIONS on your W46, that's awesome. 50 green squares to you for doing both. Thanks for letting me know, and I can't wait to read the report.
    Hey Jay,
I haven't had computer access all week but it appears to be up and running now. We need to get together and hike sometime. Any chance you'll be making up to Maine this year? Hope things are well.
    cool jay.
i ended up just hiking local. hit camels hump, well tried to anyway. took the bamforth ridge trail and ended up turning around a few miles in. mostly ended up breaking trail, there was only one XC ski track after the first mile and half.
truthfully i never even know what the code was from, just snagged the image somewhere.
have a warm bike ride home!!!
    haha, isnt that funny crap!!
he does not know how he got there! must have been a wild night, probably had 2 much ice cream!
No plans yet for Marshall, it's all dependent on the others... I'll try to remember that date though... I know Tom Rankin (TFR) is doing a Aunt Polly weekend last weekend in winter...
Yea, from the horror stories I've heard of that range, I really wanted a strong group. We will have done Sawteeth the day before as a warm up, so that's another reason for simply hiking in the first day. If it's not broken, we might even try and bag one on that Friday, and the other two the next day.

YAY! A finish in March, excellent.

We're actually seriously considering this season as well. If everything goes as planned, we'd be done with Colden in March.

When are you planning Marshall? We're hoping to do that one on March 6th, again, if you're interested.
I'd definitely be up to joining you, camping or otherwise. I may try to hit them before then, but not sure what kind of conditions I will get, if it's not broken, doubt we'll be able to tag all 3, maybe 2 but I could always camp with you guys and then tag the straggler then. Then I can finish on Marshall in March! :) Keep in touch, I may post a trip thing closer to the end of january when I get my weekends more finalized... though it may be invitation only as we would need a fast group...

    Jay
Nice. I like the fast group part ;)

We're planning on doing all three on February 28th. We're making it a camping trip, because it's my break and I love winter camping. So we'll hike in on Fri, bag all three on Sat (hopefully), and hike out on Sun.

We'd love company, if you have any interest in joining us. I doubt my dad is as fast as you, so if you could always just catch up, say hi, and move on. We'll probably leave from the Santa lean-to sometime around 4-5 in the morning.
