He stole my heart!
February 26th, 2004! It was love at first sight. The humans that tagged along were pretty good company too! We had many happy hikes together, including this one.
I know this is a long shot, but just wanted to give the climbing community a heads up. I run a trips program for a summer camp in Maine and over the weekend our trip shack was broken into and all the high end gear stolen. Here is a list of what was taken. PM me is you know anything. Many thanks...
Michelle,
It looks totally different than his pics - in just 4 days. Was on White Dot yesterday and it was nice and dry - Pumpelly may be a little more wet/icy in isolated spots because of it's northern exposure! Have funnnnn!!!!
Tim,
You should send these to Stoneyfield!
Great pictures, and once again, a wonderful accomplishment. Hope you are enjoying reliving it as much as we are all enjoying reading your reports!
Great reports Tim, sorry to have missed you on Jefferson! But mother duty that day had to prevail and then we had to consume 40 Smoothies that I didn't bring to you know who!!!!!!
Congrats to you and my hero on a great accomplishment! You guys really rock!
Another great read......
is Outdoor Leadership by John Graham - you can order it on amazon or through a local bookstore.
I tend to run more conservatively like zero-g just described but it also depends on which mountain. A quick trip up Monadnock with one friend is different than the glaciers...
Snow on your back....
is from the spring loaded binding - the same technology that is supposed to give you the springy feeling also kicks up a bit of snow.

A friend of mine had a window broken on a winter day hike to Isolation 2 or 3 years ago. Nothing stolen, just the window smashed.
I remember that 3 hour ride home all too well. Just me and the fleece blanket at 70mph - driver's window of course.
Have taken WFA and WFR with SOLO - are they teaching it for AMC? If you are going to be out on the trails, it's good info to have, you need to add your own common sense.
Atlas 8 series
una dogger
I have the 10 series but I also work for Atlas! Did you have a specific question? Were you planning on climbing the Whites this winter in them? Can you get the 10 series for a discount as well?
very cool....
very cool trip report indeed. Isn't it interesting how a list of things to be happy/grateful for can pull you out of a funk - I am impressed, not too many people like being in the rain for a day never mind several!
