The gate to Nash Stream Road should be open on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 8 AM..the Friday before Memorial Day weekend is the usual day it opens, and Nh Forest and Lands Division does not deviate from the opening date...can't recall it being open earlier than the weekend of Memorial Day...

1.6 is the Wilderness boundary, and it's a steep descent down to Whiteface River..only can remember maybe half a mile or so with logging road bike able section..but it's been a few years..someone will sure chime in...

Hey I only said it was "super smooth compared to Success Pond Road"...I have been up many many times with no issues with flat tires or rough rough roads..

Yes Nash Stream Road is open and usually closes the first Monday in Dec (this year the 7th day after deer hunting season closes)..it's a super smooth road compared to Success Pond Road from the Berlin side!! If it closes before Dec 7 I will post, as I keep track of Success Pond Rd and Nash...

Sorry a little late updating, as of Oct 2 Success Pond Road is now fully open from both Berlin side and Maine Rt. 26 side..it was plugged near the Notch Trailhead for bridge work, all done.

As of today September 10th from the Berlin side, Success Pond Road will be closed to thru traffic after the Goose Eye/Carlo Col Trailhead..a very out of the way to reach Success Pond and Speck Pond trailhead would be to go to Milan/Dummer NH East Side River Road to Hill Road to Blake Road then...

The gate to Success Pond Road opened this morning..looks like the OHRV trail in that area is closed..Nash Stream Gate also opened this morning..have a good hiking season....

March 30, 2020, Success Pond Road is gated today...last year was April 16...usually reopens around OHRV spring season (mid May)...will update when the time comes...don't think the Mahoosucs were too busy this past winter...

Did I hear or mishear that Caribou Pond Rd is closed weekdays for logging but open on weekends?? Or missed the info in the above posts??

You are welcome! I think you should be able to get there in about 1/2 hour and there are a few parking spots..would recommend getting there early..a short distance before the trail there would be some more parking, on like a little turnout and another logging road goes off to the left...hope...
