Congratulations on finishing the 48! Mmmmmm...4000 footers :D

The lift attendant at the top needs to get a ride down at the end of the day so they can't really stop while someone is still stationed at the top (unless you have a snowmobile...of course this is no good during the summer)...what could have prevented this from happening is marking the gondola...

I'm planning on a multi-day trip in the Whites in a few weeks. I want to spend some nights at campsites that have tent platforms. I've never pitched a tent on a platform before - always staked one out on the ground. I was looking for some tips. Do the platforms have places to tie-off guy-lines...

I saw a woman last week walking her dog along the road wearing one of these on her head: Deer fly hat I didn't stop to ask her if it was helping to keep away the deer flies or just helping to make her look silly. :)
