A different spin on kayak rescues

I found this a couple of months ago and have been meaning to post it here. The guys with the camera were sitting off to the side waiting for the current to really start ripping so they could play. http://youtube.com/watch?v=QEfUblSDzww

    Anybody here sail?

Cats are fun to sail in a breeze and very frustrating in little/no breeze-which is what it looks like from the picture.Cats are light so they accelerate quickly, decelerate quickly and sometimes it's hard to get across the light patches. The top of your mast looks like it could be farther...

    The Old Leather Man

    Northern Coastal Maine

Remember there's a lot of places that don't get too much sun this time of year on MDI.We were up there 2 years ago in tshirts on top and postholing in very wet snow below treeline that was better than knee-deep in places.I would think the sames rules apply up in Cutler. And if all else fails...

    Acadia family camping in August?

We've stayed at Bass Harbor, which has tent sites across the road from the main campground. It's down on the far corner of the island and fairly quiet.Smuggler's Den is closer and if you can get a site around the field the spacing isn't too bad. Both places are on the shuttle route.

We stayed at Cobscook Bay last year and did the Bold Coast and a few other trails in the area and I've towed barges up to St.John and had...
