I think it is a good idea to allow each NP have its own say on Mt bikes. Im sure NPS lands that are more sesitive to use will be excluded and they will allow Mt bikes on trails that can handle the extra use. The only concern with that is when new park management takes over will they reverse...

It is tough to decide. I mainly enjoy the summits with long hikes through spruce forest, great views, and steep climbs. Some of the peaks that come to mind are Westkill, Twin, peakamoose/table, and the Burroughs range (Slide, Cornell and Wittenburg). I have done all the 3500 peaks except...

There is a book that tells about the lost ski hills in NJ. It is hard to beilve there were so many around. It is neat to revisite these places and see whats left.

ALthough not common bears expecially males do not hibernate all winter. They are actually not true hibernaters. It is possible to see bears in the winter. I have seen them in my area and Cats in winter
