Hey..thanks for the greenie..Walter, the cellist with the kind of odd pony tail gets out pretty regular i gues when he is back East..good guy..

When I did Iso, I went up Ammo, tagged Washington and Monroe, stayed at Lakes, then took Camel to Davis to tag Isolation, then out that way you went out. I really enjoyed that trip!

Thank you! It was really quite an amazing hike (and the fact that we FINALLY had a day with no rain made things even sweeter). Shelburne Moriah is one of my new favorite peaks.

Thanks for the green square! I'm grateful you were able to get through all of it, I don't think I've ever posted a TR quite that long before.

The trail got a surprising amount of snowshoe traffic, at the bottom, anyway. The further I got, the fewer the tracks.

I look forward into running into the two of you some time. I'm sure I'll recognize you by Tuck, as you will, no doubt, first recognize me by Atticus. If not, I'll just look for the feathered hat.

My previous dog, a shephard mix literally out of a pack of wild dogs in New Haven, I adopted when he was probably a year old in 1980. He was a great dog to hike with, would disappear for periods of time and reappear almost instantly with the slightest whistle or hand clap. My current dog, I always needed to keep him close or on a leash in the woods - not quite as bright as the other one was.

There is nothing better than a good dog to share your time and adventures with!

I don't know what it is about that stretch of trail. The views seem so pure, yet wild... almost to the point of being imposing. I'm sure this sounds terribly strange, but the force of nature is so powerful there... overwhelmingly so. I always feel a bit timid as I walk across those ledges.

Look forward to meeting you too Steve! Just got back from Fargo last night and North Dakota has some great people and an enviable culture. Week long work trip and great to drive in traffic that doesn't try to run you over and hang with folks that don't talk or look upon you in a negative because you're not from around there! Enjoyed two evening at the "Ribfest" with excellent bands as well!
