thanks for the greenie trish..I seem to be up tecumseh once a month..short hike but still counts as excersize..some good winter outlooks as well

thanks for your concern, trish. the grouse did not injure me or my gaiter at all. we got away without any damage. by the way, I've read some of your blog posts about your adventures with alex. what a special experience to share with your daughter. children who hike these mountains are special souls indeed : )

i *might* be doing a moriah-carter traverse into the hut, and a wildcats traverse out...all depends on the weather, etc...also if wildcat is open for skiing.. that will change things..in any case, keeping this quiet...shhhh...don't want a big group (actually, i don't want a group at all) but if conditions are tame, i'd be happy to walk across the wildcats with you and trish during the cribbagge thingy...
