  • Well, they don't usually need a reason to make no sense at all. They just seem to enjoy butting into everyone else's business. Just for fun one day you should post something like, "I felt safe because I gave both Sage and Alex guns (with live ammo) before the hike... just in case... " Uh oh, Metsky is probably reading this now...
THanks for the greenie. It was nice to meet you and the girls, too. I was astonished that you all decided to hike out the same day. Wow! What a great way to enjoy your girls. Your pack looked HUGE!
    Trish, Alex and Sage --

Thank you for your kind and generous words, support, and love (and green spot) for our family at this terrible time for us. I can't find the words to tell you, truly and accurately, how much of a difference for the good you kindness makes. Your messages have been soothing, consoling, comforting, and, yes, uplifting. Your friendship has already been a real gift for us; now it is something we find great beauty in. Thank you.

Tuckerman's Farm in Dorchester, NH, will become a reality (albeit slowly, over the next few years), and it'll be a place, we're already pretty sure, of rehabilitation of rescue dogs and also for children. We'll be anxious to share it with all of your family once the finishing touches are made.
Thanks for the greenie Trish (and for the well wishes). The knee thing is very puzzling. The day after FR it was fine again. Was the same deal in July - awful at the end of Adams and then not a twinge two days later on Jefferson. Same thing on the Twins this weekend - not a twinge. I just wish I knew what was causing it to flare up so that I could avoid it. My only guess is that it is from hiking after too much of a layoff. We got out and walked at least 4 miles each day for the last few days before this one. Hope that's the secret since it just means that we need to hike more often! ;)
Thanks for the greenie...I know you understand the joy this climb brought me and all involved!!! I am thrilled at all the interest and support this TR has brought!!
We're planning on the last week of September for the fall. Hoping to tackle the "Bonds" if we can get in enough training in the next 7 weeks. It's been a grueling, hot summer here in Baltimore, which neither of us are fond of at all. We'll be in touch. d
That sounds about right. I'm no longer on SummitPost, but used to post my TRs over there. Cool that you remembered my report.
Hi Duane, it was a pleasure meeting you as well! Hope you stayed for the parade, it was fun. The girls brought home a ton of candy, and Max (puppy) enjoyed himself too. That is, until the fire engines went by...he didn't like the fact that I wouldn't let him chase them, lol. Good luck with the house hunting! Hope to see you on the trails someday soon.
Hi Trish: It was a pleasure meeting you and the girls (and the puppy) in N. Woodstock on the 4th. I always look forward to reading your trip reports. My wife & I were in Northern NH and in Keene, NH looking for a house so hopefully we'll be new residents soon. Good luck with the book.

    Duane
