    Need Camping Recommendation

Thanks for the thoughts. Will have two tents and be coming up from MA. A stream or lake appt would be great. I have done the 48 so have some experience with the whites; am trying to find someplace new. Thanks. Tuck.

    Alpine Boot Rental

For my May trip to Rainier I am considering renting boots (La Sportiva Nepal) $56 versus $500 new. I am a little nervous about using boots that I haven't broken in. I have superfeet insoles that I switch between my winter and other season boots. Anyone have a good experience with renting boots...

    Clinton Rd closed in winter?

I am planning my winter hikes and want to do Eisenhower using Edmands Path in late December. Is Clinton Road closed or just not plowed in winter? Thanks Tuck

Walk in the Woods - the movie

Book was great, movie was terrible. I felt like I was watching old Bonanza episodes because there were so many scenes with fake backgrounds (green screens). They left out most of the funny stuff from the book. Disappointed.

Best peak to end 4000 footer list in NH?

Isolation in winter on my second attempt. I was alone all day. It was just perfect. Was able to stay on the summit for a nice long while and savor the trip. Tuck
