    2012 Pikes Peak Ascent

Getting chased by Gerald Romero near the finish Well, that was fun. A week away from the heat, humidity and bugs of New England was just what I needed. Summer is my least favorite season and the crash that I usually experience after Mt. Washington, good race or not, leaves me longing for the...

    Pikes Peak Ascent 8/15/09

Me above treeline sucking wind on Pikes Peak (from Incline Club picasa page) “Why would anyone want to run up a 14,000 foot mountain if you don’t live at altitude?” That is a question I’ve been asked hundreds of times. It’s hard. It’s a challenge. I couldn’t find a better race in August to fill...

    Davis Path?

Anyone been on the Davis Path recently? My friend Paul and I are planning on running up to Washington tommorow. I've only been up to Giant Stairs and that was in winter. Any beta would be greatly appreciated.

Mt. Washington via Tuckerman Ravine Trail 7/30/09

Yesterday I set out for a run after work to the top of Mt. Washington. I've run to the summit numerous times on the auto road, both as part of the road race and in training. I've been up through Huntington Ravine, summited on a Presi Traverse, and hiked up Lion Head in the winter. Last summer I...

Twinway - Bondcliff Trail Info Needed

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any GPS tracks from any hikes that have been done on the Bondcliff Trail or the Twinway. I am particularly interested in the low points between Guyot and Bond and South Twin and Bond. I am curious as to what the col depth seems to be based on handheld GPS...

    Tuckerman Inferno 4/21/07

Anyone going up to Tucks to watch or race in the Inferno of Saturday? I still haven't heard any word on what they are going to do for the ski leg. I guess we'll know Saturday morning. I'll be running the hiking leg. I'll be wearing a blue and white singlet. Yell "Alligator Eggs" if you see me...

    Pemi Ski Thru 2/20-2/25

Is anyone interested in a Pemi Ski Through in a couple of weeks? It seems like the snow is good enough and most of the stream crossings are frozen. I'm not looking to do it as fast as possible. Just a nice long easy ski through the woods. I was thinking of skiing in through Zealand Rd. or the...

Snow Conditions in Franconia / Twin Mountain area?

Does anyone know what the "snowpack" is like in these areas at lower elevaions? I drove through there last weekend by the Gale River Rd. and the snow looked plentiful. Has much of it stuck around this week? I'd like to do some XC skiing this weekend. Thanks.
