    Snowshoes with ski boots

We are planning to go to Mont Tremblant (ski resort up in Quebec), snowshoe up and ski down, then repeat and go home. We can't decide whether we need to wear hiking boots on the way up or ski boots. The downside of wearing hiking boots is that in an hour to hour and a half that it takes us to...

Anyone is interested? We are not awfully experienced, so the pace will be rather relaxed. We'll be taking off...

    Questions on legal issues

If I take a few coworkers on a day hike in the Adirondacks with me acting as an organizer of the trip, does that mean I take responsibility if someone gets injured or worse? I obviously don't charge anyone and did explicitely state to them the potential dangers of winter hiking. Thanks.

    Question on Mt. Ampersand

Do you know if it gets busy on Mt Ampersand on a winter weekend? A few of us are going to go there sometime early next year and I was wondering if there is a chance that the trail will be marked by the footsteps of the previous hikers and easier to follow this way? Thanks.
