    Boot Repair in NJ?

Hi All, I seem to remember this question asked in the distant past but can't find it. Anyone have any recommendations and past experiences for a good boot repair in northern NJ? I thought there was someone very reputable in Bergen County but not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

An interesting choice for winter clothing

Some great replies here. I guess it just goes to show that people can really see things differently. I remember an old Woody Allen movie (and possibly in real life) answer to a psychiatrist's question: "Do you think sex is dirty?" his response... "Only if you're doing it right."

Bad knees but still spending $ to hike

You beat me mentioning ice fishing. A great time out (if it is not windy) catching fish, drinking beer, cooking out and camping. And the beer never gets warm either! Keep on planning David! -Tony

Fall from Phelps 10/3 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No this was not a tumbling down gravity thing. Definitely a beautiful uplifting autumnal experience climbing Phelps! Wow what a perfect fall day. Colors were at their peak down low, maybe...

    Wildcats in the Catskills

Well after 30 plus years of hiking these mountains, and reading Alan's Catskill 67 book, I finally made it to this remote and unspoiled area. The Wildcats. Peakbagr, RobS, a group from Long Island and I met at the Slide Mountain parking area only to find a not so easy stream crossing. The...

    New smaller Canon

Thanks guys. I have seen a few previews on this camera and that Olympus looks very good too. But these manufacturers really got this digital stuff right from the very beginning. They made the lens mounts the same so you could use your old lenses. They all knew how to rope in our loyalty. I have...

    New smaller Canon

I have been reading about the newest Rebel (SL1) coming out this month. It is said to be the smallest DSLR available. So far I haven't seen where anyone has had one in their hands to put to the test and put out a review. Supposedly it contains almost all the features that the T4I or new T5I...
