    ski moosilaukee carriage road

Did it two weeks ago, there was thin cover near the top, but there's been snow since then. You'll want skins and edges. We hiked up the Gorge Brook trail to stay out of the way of people coming down the CR. There was a lot of downhill traffic around 2 pm. Have fun

    Lincoln Lafayette Skiing?

Thanks for all the input guys. I wouldn't have expected much ski traffic on these trails given the couple times I've been there. I'd say if there was a good snow dump before the wknd I'd be more likely to give it a shot but this storm looks too far south. I have an old version of Goodman's...

    Lincoln Lafayette Skiing?

Does anyone know if it is possible to ski down any significant portion of the old Bridal Path or falling waters trail? Its been a while since I've hiked them and can't remember how open they get below treeline? Any other suggestions for a good place to test out a new AT setup? Thanks

    Jewell Trail Condition

Yes, lions head is shorter and steeper, and is probably the easiest way to the summit, but I would never climb it in winter without crampons (or anywhere above treeline on Wasington for that matter). Also, there is one section of lions head winter route that is near vertical to consider. She...

    3 North Twin Trail Questions

I hiked North and South Twin back on Jan 15th. If you go in from the end of Little River Rd (by the 7 dwarfs) it cuts off a couple miles round trip than if you hike the usual road which is closed in winter. After about a mile you'll connect with that road if you keep heading south-southeast...

    Hiking SUgarloaf in Maine

Hi all, new member to the the forum here. Seems like a very helpful site. I hope to contribute all I can as well. I started hiking the 100 highest in winter last year and am now completely addicted. My question for this weekend is the suggested winter route up Sugarloaf Maine. I'll be up...
