Leading a trip to Owls Head 19/20th. Does anyone have a gps track (that would ideally show Black Pond bushwhack and 'true' summit')? I've been there before, and used Black Pond bushwhack... but a gps tack as backup in case of issues would be nice.) Also if anyone else has thoughts about 'safe'...

3" of snow at the trailhead. 6" at the summit. We bare booted up and down without issues. (We carried an assortment of microspikes, and other gear, but didn't have any slipping issues, so never put them on.)

Tried to hike Morgan-Percival loop in the Squam range today (4/18/2010). Got to the trailhead and found the gates locked, other parking lots roped off and big "Trails Closed" signs. The area is run by Squam Lakes Association, and they decided to close the area during the mud season. I just...
