Which direction for a Pemi Loop....

My vote is for anti-clockwise. After the GRT where the small bumps feel like their own mountain range you emerge on the shoulder of Lafayette and you are rewarded for your effoerts! Besides, the Osseo trail is a peach to descend compared to Bondcliff especially since Irene. Either way, make...

    NH 48 speed record

What an adventure! Feet are sore, quads are wrecked and I'm smiling ear to ear. The heat was tough to deal with and that combined with fatigue finally brought me to my knees on Cannon after a painfully slow traverse of the Cannonballs. I had slowed too much and the the record was now out of...

    Acadia Grand Tour 6/12/2012

Very cool Mr. Seaver! I had one adventure in Acadia early one spring where we did a similar shorter loop and had some grand sheeys of ice to deal with. I'd love to get back up there for a weekend sometime.

    Carrigain via Desolation trail

Dangergirl and I having been wanting to do some less traveled routes to our winter 4ks this season so on Sunday we headed up Sawyer river rd from 302 at 8:30 am. It was snowy, we had snowshoes on. We made good time to the summer trailhead after a team nature stop and proceeded over the frozen...

New multi-use trail segment to cost $83/inch

Another strip of pavement? That's what people on this board want? I realize that a more natural looking dirt or gravel trail( 10 to 12 ft is a road in my eyes) will require more maintenance but wouldn't that be offset by the cheaper initial cost over paved?

    Tecumseh solo 3/26/2010

sadly enough, 75 times may be fairly accurate. Man, I need to get out more ! The season I worked as a snowmaker there may have helped the numbers a bit. I would run it just about everyday before work. Mats, I'm sorry to hear you lost your ball(s) perhaps a Thermajock would be a wise investment...
