    Trails used: Avalon , Mt. Tom spur, Willey range trail. Snowshoes the whole way! River cossings easy. The first is bridged and the second is rock hoppable. 12 to 18 inches new snow above Avalon trail Jct. No blowdowns and now well packed out by our 3 person crew.

    We put on microspikes a little above bugle cliff and kept them on to just above Gibbs falls on the Crawford path. Trails mostly ice with exposed rocks covered in black ice. Rained on and off throughout the hike it was a good afternoon for gear testing.
