Hiking Poles Missing from Hancock Peak

Two of the guys in our group Saturday opted to bushwhack to NW Hancock. One of them left his poles at the peak, with the intension of picking them up on the return. The density of the scrub was a determine factor in his decision. When he returned, the poles were missing. Did anyone from ROT or...

    Flags over 48 - Hancock

Outstanding day in the Whites Saturday - a tadd on the cloudy side, but the company was second to none and just being in the Whites is the best!!! Both trails to Hancock and So. Hancock are very steap and have an abundance of loose stone and gravel. Caution is needed to watch your footing...

Lafayette -4th time is a charm!!!

GlennS and I did the classic loop Sunday, Old Bridal Path to Greenleaf to Lafayette, along the Franconia Ridge Trail to Lincoln & Little Haystacks and down Falling Waters Trail. Madison Gulf of Howker Ridge trails

Does anyone know if the Madison Gulf Trail or the Howker Ridge Trail have had any traffic this winter? Would like to know if there is any snow consolidation at all or just powder under the crust.

    The Skook

The Skookumchuck trail is now broken out. What an awesome trail, nice wooded trail with a variety of flats & steeps, plenty of places to camp at many elevations. Even though there was an attempt at this trail last week, the snow was still unconsolidated for much of the trail. Post holing with...

Looking for a hike Feb 7 or 8

I am hoping to get to the whites the weekend of Feb 7 & 8. Nothing too aggressive or ambitious, just an enjoyable day in the hills with a 4k or two. Please keep me in mind if you are planning something for that weekend.

    Pierce Sunday Jan 25th

Crawford Connector to Crawford Path to Webster Cliff Trail to Mispah Cutoff. Trail was in good shape, well broken and well packed. Only ran into one other hiker doing an opposite loop. Awesome Day in the Whites!!!! http://albums.phanfare.com/1292064/3321572#imageID=59391675

Mt Tom Field & Avelon Loop

Either First ones on trail or wind blown snow covered trail. Bare booted for first hour, post-holing too deep, entire leg on one, so we darned snow shoes. A lone hiker past us and lead the way for the remainder of the day, did not see him again. Very soft deep drifts on A-Z trail. Views a-top...
