    Anyone been up Saddleback lately?

I'm talking about climbing the cliff of course. Is it icy? I know we should get a bit of snow this week but does anyone know if it's possible (not too crazy) using only crampons? I'm not too fond of heights and wouldn't want to try it unless the conditions are optimals. Someone also told me...

    Lost tent/equipment near Marcy summit?

Hello, Yesterday we were trying to find the herd path that goes from Marcy to Gray when we stumbled on a tent, backpack, food, sleeping bag, well pretty much everything a hiker would have needed for a long hike. We didn't quite understand why someone would have left ALL is equipment behind. It...

    Gothics, Armstrong 05/24/09

It was a great day for a great mountain sunday. Since I didn't see anything the first time I climbed Gothics, I was anxious to do it again and I'm glad I did, Wow! What a nice view up there. We started at Ausable club and did the loop climbing by beaver meadow trail (I think that's the name?)...

Anyone found a Canon PowerShot A720 IS?

I think I lost this camera at either pinkham notch parking lot or the one for the nineteen miles brook trailhead. I'm not really sure what happened, it might have fallen down from the top of the car when we left. Pictures for me are really important and of course I'd pay for the shipping. Thanks.

    Seymour

Hi, my friends and I would like to give Seymour a try this weekend but we were wondering if we'll have to walk up Coreys road since it supposedly closed in winter. Is there a barrier or something blocking the way, or is it just not plowed in winter? If that's the case, what about the snow on...

    Indian pass

Anyone knows what the Indian pass trail looks like lately? I'd like to try for Marshall and I think this is the shortest way. What about the herdpath that goes up Marshall?

    pitchoff mnt 1/11

We hiked Pitchoff mnt today. Trail was well defined for a while but we lost it after we got to the first summit. We couldn't find the trail markers. We finally ended up bushwhacking down the mountain and when we got to the road, we noticed that we were right next to the "Pitchoff walls"...

    Tabletop 12/20

Hiked Tabletop on saturday. Not too much snow for a while but pretty much knee deep on the Tabletop herdpath. That's where we put on the snowshoes, we either barebooted or used microspikes for the first part of the trail (no real need for microspikes though since it wasn't icy.) As always in...

    street & nye 11/23

On a snowy day saturday, me and my friend climbed Mt Street and Mt Nye. It was kinda cold and there was plenty of snow (about 1 foot on the summits) for this time of the year. The trail was pretty easy to follow (and beautiful with all that snow on the trees!) , I think someone has been there...

    Lower/Upper Wolfjaws 11/02

Beautiful sunny day, no wind. Trail was a mix of snow and ice. My friends barebooted the whole hike. I had my microspikes on (for the first time), and they really helped! No real need for snowshoes though. Hiking poles were also very useful.

snow in the high peaks region?

I'm going hiking around Keene and St-Hubert this weekend and I was wondering if anyone knows how much snow fell around there lately, since there was supposed to be a major snowstorm. Also, if they did get snow, what do you think it'll look like this weekend, especially at higher altitudes? I...
