    Which 4,000 to finish on?

another vote for D peak I would finish on wildcat d because if you want any non hikers to join they can take the lift up its open almost year round. You cab hike up nineteen mile brook and hit A peak then head over to d peak. Plus it offers the best views of the remainng peaks you have.

    Monadnock 4/13/12

You should try going the opposite way next time and go past red spot on the cascade link and then take the spellman trail up to pumpelly. Its short and steep and my favorited trail on Monadnock.

    Zombie 48

that blew me away as well $87 to run 3.1 miles around a defunked snow tube park. IF anyone wants to run around my house I will chase you with a stick for $10 thats a $77 savings. Only $2 if you want to watch me chase runners with a stick

    Zombie 48

My question would be do you hike as a zombie or do you pay people to dress up like a zombie and chase you around the Whites. IMHO theese races are just getting more and more silly. Next year they will probally host the rabid ginger bread man 5k what ever happend to a good old foot race.

Status of Cedar Brook Crossings (Hiking the Hancocks)

I dont think you will find to much water on that trail Saturday and it wouldnt be a long bushwack to bypass if the water is high. As the loop goes I did it clockwise and it was fine. Both sides are steep but not to scary at all. It was pouring the day I did them and didnt feel scared at all(...

    Hiker Falls into Tuckerman Crevasse

sierra, that is a a great quote. Its true that asking why wont change the outcome of in incident but it could prevent others in the future so there is always some value in asking why.

    Hiker Falls into Tuckerman Crevasse

I was leaving wildcat at the time the accident had taken place(aprox 3:30pm) I would assume that any seasoned hiker would be heading down and not up at this time of the day. Also at this time the mountain was clouded by a decent snowstorm that rolled in that afternoon. This is indeed a sad...
