    The bridge is gone. Checked it this a.m. I was last there at the end of October so they certainly hustled to remove it. First pic is looking across RB. Second is looking back to the little wooden bridge.

    I have never had any issues with hunters in the woods so never understood the Sunday ban (I'm not a hunter btw). Seems a lot more risky to drive to my hiking destination.

    From just below those steep slopes you can whack over to the Langdon slabs and can make your way up the slabs through a large vegetated weakness in the middle. Very nice little outing. Just need to go later in summer when water levels low.

    I would’ve thought that there are a number of anti-gelling additives out there to deal with gelling of diesel in cold temperatures. Some of those additives can get you quite a ways below zero (like -50 or more). And as PB notes, can also cut with 20-30% kerosene.
