    TSL snowshoes?

I recently bought a pair that have the boa binding. I've used them three times on local trails, but only carried them on Tecumseh this weekend. So far, I like them.

GAIA Acquired by Outside Magazine Organization

Assuming this is a serious question, go to settings, it should be the first option. Click it, the tab will turn green and you'll see a tiny airplane in the upper left corner of your main screen.

    Hancocks campground

"Are outhouses even open?" At least one at Hancock has been open all winter. There may be two open.

    Hancocks campground

I've been there several times this winter. You may be able to find a spot in the beginning of the circle where there's no open outhouse. The back side has been quite busy. There are also the walk-in sites that may have availability.

    Dog Packing on Mt Adams

peakbagger - Were you on Adams at around 1 PM Saturday? I think I saw the same dog, she was so cute. We saw her again as we were leaving the Madison hut but she was walking down the trail at that point.

    Arethusa Falls

I visited Arethusa Falls last Friday. There were a few muddy spots, but nothing outrageous. It was a lovely walk, the trail is in great shape.

Glacier National Park. And others out west.

Hi Joe, My hiking partner and I went to Glacier in September, so perhaps you won't have the great luck that we did. The trip was taken after online reservations closed for the year. We had planned to go in July, but that did not work out. However, I was able to get reservations for the...

    Saddleback And Abraham In Maine

My hiking partner and I hiked Abraham as an out and back. Most people we met up with while hiking the ME 4,000 footers did Abraham as part of a traverse with Sugarloaf and Spaulding, but you'd need to car spot to accomplish this. We also climbed Saddleback and the Horn as an out and back. Both...

    Doublehead cabin question

I tried this last weekend with one of my bladders, not a Nalgene, maybe that would have worked, the bladder solution did not - at all. I have not done winter backpacking yet, just car camping so far, more gear and is no issue at this time. Thanks!

    Doublehead cabin question

Do you put the unit inside of the bag? My friends and I have done a handful of winter camping nights in NH and still learning. Last weekend was "interesting". I think I'd like to give one of these a try. Thanks.

    Vermont 4ks In Winter

Hi DayTrip, For Mansfield, if you change your mind about your route, for the Long Trail you can park on 108, walk past the gate (approx. .5 miles, a 5 minute walk) up to the trailhead, it will be on your left. You can hear the ski lift at times, I'm not sure if you see the ski area, it was...

State to offer Shuttle Service from the Artist's Bluff lot to Lafayette Place

Drove through the notch between 3-3:30 PM Saturday. Cars parked on the road on both sides, it looked the same as usual. I did not notice anything on windshields.
