    Branch Pond Trail VT - 06/13/09

    Trail was very muddy due to inordinate amount of rain this season. Beaver have dammed up Bourne Brook between Bourne Pond and William B Douglas shelter and about a tenth of a mile of the trail is under water. A (painful) bushwhack through a pine grove is necessary in order to get around this.
