Appalachia has Porta Potties

While driving by the Appalachia trailhead today I noticed three new porta potties are parked next the trailhead board. There were no facilities previously. I wonder if it is the state of NH (who owns the lot), AMC who uses it for access to Madison Hut, RMC, the forest service supporting the trailhead volunteer program, or maybe the Cross NH trail?.

I wonder if they will begin charging to park there now or if it is just a preventative measure so the area doesn't get messy.

I dont see the state funding it, they own the land, but my guess is its some other entity is funding them.
