Blue Hole permit (Table and Peekamoose parking) update

​Read it and weep. (Or maybe not, it will reduce overcrowding).

I think I'll use Denning for Table and Peekamoose from now on, especially if it involves $$.

There is a discrepancy in the article, twice it mentions $10.00 for a permit, and once it says free.​

I think technically the permit is free, but Reserve America charges $10 processing.

That may be, but in previous years, the permit was totally free for the user.

Peekamoose and Table were my first Catskill Peaks back in the early 1990's. I had been thinking it might have been nice to go again

Nothing stops you from parking at Denning for free and doing the hike from there. It's more or less the same hiking mileage, and less elevation from there as well.
