Trail had a packed snowshoe track covered by several inches of new snow throughout. Section in the glades had been skied off for long stretches. Some deeper powder on the Rim Trail.
We wore snowshoes for the entire hike in conditions ideal for them. One skier who bailed for a tough segment was post holing badly.
There were no blow downs. Trail was in great shape. There are multiple tracks on the cone. Ski tracks (right, uphill) lead to the restaurant; snowshoe tracks stay on the trail.
Another overcast day but the woods were stunning and we got a peek across the notch on our descent. Fun hike with Sarah and Allen.
